NICE,

also known as 'Queen of the Riviera ', is a city easily fall in love in.

A great city for a memorable vacation.

The city offers a wide selection of nightlife and cultural events.

 

Cours Saleya:

A visit to Old Town and marketplace Cours Saleya with the famous flower market,

is a 'must ' to visit.

Lively daily trade in fruits, vegetables, olives, lavender, spices, fragrant soaps

all with a touch of Provence. The market is open daily, but on Mondays it is

Antique market that has taken the square. In the evening it´s all the restaurants that have moved on

the square. Cozy restaurants that offer fish dishes, specialties of Nice, and pizzerias.

 

Promenade des Anglais:

Already in the 1820s did the walk get its name from the English.

The famous palm-lined promenade offers bicycle path, jogging, rollerblading, all kind of task to round the clock. Great Restaurants at the beach with comfortable sun beds, and of course swimming in the azure  clear Mediterranean Sea.

 

Museums:

Musee Matisse, Nice's most famous museum. It is located in the beautiful district of Cimiez,

high on the hills. The museum is located in an Italian 1600-century villa.

Henri Matisse lived in Nice from 1919 to 1954. He is buried near the museum. Matisse's family donated many of his personal items and works to musee where you can follow the artist's life from conception to great works of art.

 

Musee Marc Chagall:

The artist Chagall donated 17 of his major works to the French State,who in the 1960s built this modern bright museum. Musee is built of glass in a garden surrounded by olive groves and cypress.Musee is not far from Matisse Museum.

 

Shopping:

'Luxury shopping 'in boutiques from famous fashion designer is found everywhere in town.

Rue Paradise, Victor Hugo, Rue Massena and Jean Medicin.

Galerie Lafayette is the second largest Lafayette in France. Paris have the largest store. Nice Etoile is also a large store that attracts a wide selection of trade.

Cap 300, a huge shopping mall near the airport, offering everything from gourmet food to

furniture, jewelry and clothes.

 

Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region:

The climate on the French Riviera is truly remarkable. Summer is long and warm winters are mild and sunny. With 300 sunny days a year is good weather almost guaranteed no matter what time of year you choose. The whole area has an incredible natural beauty.
