Cagnes-sur-mer

 

 

Cros-de-Cagnes is closest to the sea and consists of a small fishing village with an attractive beach.

 A lot of restaurant´s , big shopping centre Cap 3000 nearby.

The beautiful medieval village of Hauts-de Cagnes, is well worth visiting. As the name says it is longer toward the old districts. The village is situated on a hill and has an incredible charm.

The Hauts-de-Cagnes, where you can visit the old fort from the 1300s. It was constructed by Grimaldi and were used as prison. Around 1620 it was rebuilt and has today the same appearance as then. The building currently consists of a three storey high musee. Take the opportunity to take a quick visit in to the church of St-Pierre, where several members of the Grimaldi family are buried.

In the village there are several cozy cafes and restaurants, a lot of small alleys where you are greeted by a calm when you see the beautiful scenery.

Musée Renoir, situated in the district of Les Collettes , very beautiful place with a lovely garden is worth a visit by art lovers.
